KDE Plasma 5.27 is here

Don’t personally see an issue with window outlines and there are other themes. But if people are that offended by it then it should be an optional feature.

Apparently 5.27 is the last release in the 5 series.

KDE is very nice and I’m a fan. Good release and major props to the devs.

Meanwhile, sitting in my Qtile rocking chair.

Did they fix the funky aurorae bug ? :joy:

I don’t have any bugs! I’m also running the 6.2 kernel.

[ricklinux@eos-plasma ~]$ uname -r
6.2.0-arch1-1

Edit: Even the cursor plays real nice.

This bug only impact themes that need aurorae (so not breeze). https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=465790

Is that a global theme? Icons?

5.27.1 just hit the repos. didnt see any announcement anywhere ?

It’s posted above by @ainz

The official announcement will appear at https://kde.org/announcements/plasma/5/5.27.1 but the web server is currently in transition so is not published yet.

If you want to replicate just change your “Window Decorations” with any other theme and just wait because its not immediate.

I only have what was installed by EndeavourOS. What is Aurorae? What do i need to install other than what i have to replicate this?

Aurorae is used for showing custom window decoration (all theme that aren’t breeze). Just install a window/global theme and apply the window decoration of the theme you choose.

I think the wepages are down right now for maintenance. Everyone i try fails.

Edit:
I will try later.

Updating to 5.27.1 didn’t fix the bug. The commit was merged so maybe soon

Still not sure what the bug is on KDE you are talking about.

Edit: Okay i found it i think. Now i see some transparency and flickering on the top of the panel under certain conditions.

Edit2: Not sure if that’s what you are talking about?

As you can see  The texture is scaled when you resize the window.
