KDE | Keyboard Language failed?

Could it have anything to do with what is described in this thread ?

Fcitx5 does not respect me or my layout configuration

This is mostly a rant. I’ve updated my system the other day and when I rebooted my keyboard layout was screwed and would revert back to default each time I restarted my system. Long story short, fcitx5 was not installed correctly or whatever, I don’t know, I’ve removed it. I don’t want to deal with a DE nor that change my keyboard configuration upon updates. Rant over.
