How did you do this reinstallation without getting the broken Mesa package at the same time?
I seem to be on 3.1.1 and things are stable?

OK thanks I’ll do his updates without doing downgrade and see what I get. If all else fails I’ll just put him on x11 for now since that seems not to be affected. Thanks again.
Not sure if related, but I had the same problems regardless of whether it was X11 or Wayland, missing panels, docks, apps not loading etc.
See mesa was just released in the stable repo.
mesa 1:24.3.1-2
I just updated allowing mesa to upgrade. KDE is now logging in properly without issue on amdgpu with RX 590. ![]()
Edit: There was a new kernel also.

Thank you Manjaro.
Yonada – 24.2.0
My computer that fails to a black screen in endeavourOS with powerdevil above v6.1.5, WORKS on Manjaro
What is your gpu?
AMD Radeon RX 6600
mhwd-amdgpu 19.1.0-1
Strange …others with same gpu have no issue with mesa and this gpu. Do you think it’s caused by Powerdevil?
Edit: What does this mean? Specifically mhwd? Are you using the pro drivers?
mhwd-amdgpu 19.1.0-1
Edit: This is Manjaro? Correct? ![]()
yes most DEFINITELY
when searching my packages with Octopi for amdgpu, that is what was shown
Bladk screen issue DOES NOT appear with powerdevil. 6.2.4 on Manjaro Stable v24.2.0
Well i have powerdevil installed also as i think it’s installed on EOS. No issue with this one.
Edit: Or maybe I installed it? Not sure. ![]()

my observation with the same hardware booting Manjaro or EOS is what I have reported.
powerdevil 6.1.5 with all other EOS plasmla packages up-to-date GOOD
powerdevil 6.2.4 with all other EOS plasmla packages up-to-date black screen
Well @swh has the same gpu i think.
Yes … i understand just trying to see if it’s same with same hardware.
But of course right after I just did his updates and put him on x11.

Well at least it’s easy to log out and log back in on Wayland.
Lenovo Legion T5 26ARA8
AMD Ryzen 7 7700
Radeon RX 6600
samsung s32ag55 monitor
So you have the 7000 series gpu. I think @swh was 6000 series.
