Regenerating your mirrorlist might help in cases when there are some issues with mirrors (being down, out of sync, low bandwidth etc.)
You could do this in a number of ways:
Afterwards you need to refresh your local package database by passing an extra -y to pacman:
sudo pacman -Syyu
Sill downloading at like 30 Kib/s
Did you refresh your mirror list already?
Check your internet speed as well.
What is the output of
inxi -Na
inxi -Na
Network:
Device-1: Qualcomm Atheros QCA9377 802.11ac Wireless Network Adapter
vendor: Lenovo driver: ath10k_pci v: kernel pcie: gen: 1 speed: 2.5 GT/s
lanes: 1 bus-ID: 02:00.0 chip-ID: 168c:0042 class-ID: 0280
I have fine internet i “Obtained” family guy season 1-8 in qbitorrent in like 20 minutes
yes
like 2 times
Did you rate them after speed?
reflector --sort rate --age 3 --number 5 --country aa,bb,cc --protocol https | sudo tee /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist
Replace the country codes with those of yours and a couple of others
Did you select other countries for mirrors when you updated the mirror list? I would suggest adding US if you don’t have it and then updating the list. Set it for a good number of mirrors.
Edit: This is done using the Welcome app.
us is only one i already checked that
I’m in the UK which obviously makes a difference but the fastest mirrors are always Germany and Sweden for me.
Well that doesn’t make any sense then. I use US mirrors myself and i can install the whole system in less than 5 minutes.
Edit: How many US mirrors are you using? Not all US mirrors are always good!
Welp ill just wait it will probably stop randomly Linux Os’s just do this crap sometimes
Did you disable IPv6?
i fixed i don’t know what fixed it but its fixed now
It’s a bit random but it sounds to me like your ISP may have been doing some maintenance work and your internet speed was getting throttled temporarily.
Can you run
sudo pacman -Syu
