ISPs around the world!

Despite paying for 1gpbs I’m only getting 40mbps right now! AT&T loves to throttle me.

It sucks! :frowning:

Yes it’s the dishwasher line. Most appliances here are all 120Volt 15 Amp. Stove & Dryer are 220Volt. The electrical code here is quite different than other countries.

Edit: I assume it’s normal 3 wire (Neutral, Ground and Hot) - 14/2 NM with Ground!

The last tour of my career was as an Electrical Designer for a large engineering company. I know little about residential codes, as most stuff we designed for was 480 VAC 3 phase or higher. I worked on two Canadian projects. And yes the Canadian industrial codes are way laxer than US codes.

Pudge

I not sure about laxer but different for sure. Voltages are different in a lot of motors and transformers. I’m not an electrician but i have a lot of experience working with building maintenance, heating, boilers, cooling towers, pumps, fire alarm & sprinkler system along with building automation control and alarm control. A lot of monitoring and maintenance procedures and calls for maintenance or repairs when needed and also monthly maintenance.

We just got our speed doubled for the same old price. Fibre ISPs are in a price war right now and we little consumers benefit from it. That’s what a free market is supposed to be, not the very few ISPs banding together to keep speeds low and prices high, as they do in America.
