In case of EndeavourOS would come to it's end, what would you do?

I see no flames. Is that something called a burned out? :rocketa_purple:

Ahoy!

I made my way to Endeavor trying to sort out my VR headset. The actual solution - the system mis-flagging the headset as part of the desktop, just needing to unplug and plug back in the headset to rest the connection - would probably work on the earlier distros I tried on my way here; anything with recent GNOME or KDE.

I’m happy to stay on Endeavor, but should it come to an end I would probably go back to Ubuntu as I enjoy the LTS packages. 25.04 would probably support my VR now, and 26.04 LTS next would just give me years of stability over Fedora which updates more frequently.

Of course, KDE announced an upcoming KDE Linux Distro.

KDE Plasma was a huge part of the reason I jumped to Linux, as it was the desktop environment for the Steam Deck. Their new distro is going to be Arch-Based, but “immutable” and “atomic” like the SteamOS and won’t come with pacman.

If anyone would mind explaining what immutable and atomic mean in this context I would appreciate it. It sounds to me like KDE would ensure the integrity and functionality of the system itself – which it good, when you’ve made half the mistakes I have along my Linux adventure.

It’s awaiting lift-off.
