In 2021 What DE are you using or switching to?

Ah yeah. And I totally missed the DE part of it all. Gonna either stick with Plasma, or try the new Gnome. Plasma is great and I’m liking what they have done with Gnome. My first Linux DE back in iMac G3 days was Gnome.

ATX boards are good I guess if you need more than one dedicated GPUs. I’m good with integrated vega + RX6k or RX7k series.

I hear you I just favour ATX boards even though I’m not a gamer. I wouldn’t mind trying one of these builds someday.

Did you hear about the safety issue on that case? This one has the updated repair kit already installed.

O yeah. I requested the new riser cable as soon as I learned about the issue. It arrived fairly quickly considering the state of the world. The case has been working great since I first built in it. It has a bad rep because of this issue and the lack of exhaust fans. But imo it’s super easy to fix by installing 2 slim fans to the back and replacing the PCI riser cable. Best looking and functioning case I’ve ever owned. Super silent under light loads and not loud at all during heavy loads. I highly recommend it to anybody who wants to try an ITX build. Some people have build custom loops inside it, which is insane.

Oh I didn’t know you already had it built. Thought you just got it. I looked at it from my Canadian computer parts supplier and saw it had the warning.

Had this build for over a year now, yes.

Windows 11.

But seriously, I’m so freaking happy with where Plasma is right now, I doubt I’d ever leave. Plasma for life.

I actually going back to KDE after using i3wm for some time. The tilling workflow just does not match my use and I kinda miss the ease full DE provides, tbh.
