It’s a good distro. I don’t use it because of the reasons not associated to the final product. The distro is definitely overall good.

Manjaro was my second distro. Before that I was on Mint and didn’t understand how it works. So after 2 weeks on Linux my guruine picked me up, told me to install Manjaro which was pretty new back then (ver 0.8xx) and switch from Xfce to Mate. Was super duper and I learned a lot. Unfortunately did the Manjo devs treat the Mate DE like a 3rd class citizen and updates often broke the system.

Have kept Arch and Gentoo on dual boot. Would be gentoo or freebsd for sure if arch wasn’t an option.

Nothing to forgive 
. Your system your rules + Arch / EOS no for everyone . Manjaro good if you just want install and use . problem come when you learn and want change / remove things!
Problem most have on Arch / EOS is they want run before they learn walk ( my opinion only )
At end day use what fit your need

Arch with whatever DE/WM first, doesn’t matter. Then perhaps Debian or try BSD. If all else fails I guess I’ll get a Puppy or one of it’s derivatives

What’s special about Reborn? The website irritated me by making me watch an animation in order to be graced by the presence of a download link.
Well, I still love EOS and have it on two machines. Just not on the workhorses.

Funny, I would have it the other way around - EnOS for getting the work done for sure. Good thing we all have choices!

EnOS on my two “workhorses” and Arch/Enlightenment and MXlinux (Debian Stable) on the other two for fun and just sitting there doing stuff like distributing computing. I also have a couple of very outdated Macs which no longer get updated and also don’t report “home” via LittleSnitch but have a few nice programs which I run occasionally. Heck, I’m not too proud to admit it!

I was just browsing to learn how to customized AwesomeWM and came across this HefftorLinux. It’s a derivative from Arco Linux and tries to be more user-friendly. Downloading the XFCE ISO which seems to be their main release to see how it handles.
Ouch! That seems very “Corporate” and trying to sell a specific product. Interesting to see how you get on with your investigations. Arco is a bit limited in my opinion. I prefer EnOS but we are all entitled to our opinions.
They seem to have the right mindset though:

I needed the help of some of you guys to even get my Nvidia driver installed on EOS, and after the system fubared some weeks later for some or the other reason, I decided I’m not gonna play the spoiled little brat again but chose Manjo, where Nvidia install is more or less just a one-click operation. And after, like, 2 weeks on Manjo, I learned to stay calm and relaxed even if I won’t get an upate every 2 hours.

I am actually a user of Apple systems too 
- just bought my second macBook Pro - this time with M1 16G RAM and 512GB nvme.
If Arch were to die completely - I would prefer BSD.
I am running Arch (testing) with some added packages from Manjaro (openbox scripts and configs) on Lenove Thinkstation P330 2nd gen using Nvidia Quaddro P2000 graphics.

You no need to update 
1 time a week or longer , that normal for me . Make me giggle people feel need to update when it come or check every hour… insane ( unless you wait for update you need )
