missing for over a month
The base site - https://md.mirrors.hacktegic.com/ - exists, shows endeavouros
as updated today (2025-07-10), along with Arch and Linux Mint. When trying to access any of these mirrors, I get a “Forbidden” response.
Whenever I update my mirrors, hacktecic ALWAYS fails. And it’s been a lot longer than a month.
Just tested and hacktegic responded without issue.
Just ran eos-rankmirrors
and, as always, included in the output was…
==> Warning about https://md.mirrors.hacktegic.com/endeavouros/repo/$repo/$arch:
Connection to this mirror failed (curl exit code 22).
And if I go to https://md.mirrors.hacktegic.com/endeavouros/repo in a browser, I get this…
Odd. Seems to be either my ISP or the U.S. in general.
I enabled Mullvad VPN and no U.S. choice works. I picked Portugal, Austrailia, Romania, Serbia, Singapore, and more. All worked. Here’s Portugal…
I can also reach the Hacktegic mirror without issue. I think there is some sort of ban from the US or vice versa going on with this mirror, which is located in Moldova, as @UncleSpellbinder mentioned.
Well I think I remembered seeing problems with this mirror some time ago, and if you look at the profile of the user in below linked topic , he appears to be in Oregon, so …
Also just finished re ranking the mirrors, without any errors, and I am on the same location as @Bryanpwo is at.
Note that one can fully ignore failing mirrors by editing file /etc/eos-rankmirrors.conf, variable EOS_IGNORED_MIRRORS. Add a list of partial (but unique) names of failing mirrors, for example:
EOS_IGNORED_MIRRORS=(
hacktegic
)
I’ve had to do that on three mirrors and no errors now. Thank goodness there are many other mirrors around the world so the ignored ones aren’t missed
seems Linux unity can be just as divided as the real world governments are.
Mankind resists progress. Pity.
“United we stand, divided we fall” is a proverb emphasizing the strength found in unity and the weakness resulting from division. It highlights the idea that cooperation and solidarity lead to success, while discord and disunity lead to failure. The phrase has been used throughout history and across various contexts to encourage unity and discourage division.
Here in the southwestern part of the US, and I get the same results as @unclespellbinder with the message Forbidden
This is my version of endeavouros-mirrorlist:

## Germany

It works everytime.
When an updated endeavouros-mirrorlist comes out, I just remove
endeavouros-mirrorlist.pacnew
Pudge
Same here, I’m in the UK.
