Looks like a very similar error output and core dump as I am getting over here:
With TIA for any assistance, I’ve been pulling my hair out trying to solve this for the last couple of weeks (+/-).
I have a mature and well-known program called “oscar” that has been operating flawlessly under KDE wayland for more than a year. Since an update a couple of weeks ago (I think, timeline-wise) It now fails under wayland. It works fine under an X11 session.
I think this is a problem local to my machine, since not a single user has reported any related issue upstream to the oscar t…
Still no solution on my end after at least a couple of weeks.
Edit: Thanks to the discussion on this thread, I found my issue was nomachine. Uninstalling solved it. Here’s the link to my solution. Hope it helps you:
jfc, it was No Nachine!! I had it installed months ago but I was certain I had disabled it because I couldn’t get it to work reliably with Wayland, and just ended up using KDE’s built in RDP service. I just did sudo pacman -R nomachine, rebooted, and all is good! My system is so snappy again!! I still believe that some recent update introduce the conflict. In any case, thanks @jake99 !
