Referring to this post, I have a question:
To make the GNOME terminal transparent, which package is better:
gnome-terminal-transparency or gnome-terminal-fedora ?
I couldn’t really find anything helpful on the net to decide.
Either will work if you only want transparency. gnome-terminal-fedora has one additional enhancement related to notifications. At one time, I knew what that was but it was years ago at this point.

Now I just need to know how to uninstall the stock GNOME terminal cleanly
Install the new one and let it replace the old. That way you won’t break any dependencies.
