touchpad works on my T420
error: target not found: lxapperance
not the mouse error but a typo inside netinstall.yaml:
community/lxappearance 0.6.3-4 (90.3 KiB 395.3 KiB) [lxde]
Feature-rich GTK+ theme switcher of the LXDE Desktop
So I like a tidy journal. Saw a few errors.

A little searching later and apparently a pipewire
error. Decided to try and resolve by installing pipewire-pulse
and pipewire-alsa
.
Now:
Feb 23 10:24:43 elloquin pipewire-media-session[989]: GetManagedObjects() failed: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown
Sound works normally. Despite the errors. Pipewire is relatively new so
this errors mostly do not harm it says (most cases)
But pipewire is not installed?
No it is there. The first journal output is with pipewire
only. Second is after pipewire-pulse
and pipewire-alsa
were added. Not really a thing and harmless as everything works. Just digging into things.
edit sorry it was there I replaced it with pipewire-pulse.
You mean it came default? Like with the iso
Yes pipewire was there. I did not add it.
Am I doing this right?
I do believe you are! Do you mind running pactl info
and see what sound engine you are running. It should be PulseAudioβ¦I think pipewire mightβve been installed as a dependencyβ¦
pulsaudio
Not trying on the laptop right now but the touchpad worked on it before it was just the usb mouse. Now on qemu the usb mouse doesnβt work.
So what does this mean? Itβs fixed now if i try again? Iβm assuming this itβs whatβs pulled in on the install?
Thank You! My WM died sorry about asking all you guys! Can you check if pipewire is installedβ¦
Not enough purple.
pipewire is installed here
Yep! It would be fixed
I blame American English for spelling apperance wrong.
Purple Bonsai tree⦠that would be the finishing touch
Got It! Itβs because xdg-desktop-portal-wlr has pipewire as a dependency! Phew I thought I was going crazy!
https://archlinux.org/packages/community/x86_64/xdg-desktop-portal-wlr/
Now your talking! I like Bonsai tree and i like purple.
Edit: Is the new eos tree!
