Favourite browser extensions?

Right now I use just a small number on both Vivaldi and Firefox:

  • uBlock Origin (with “medium mode” and added filter lists);
  • Bitwarden;
  • LibRedirect;
  • Plasma Integration;

and on Firefox I also use Undo Close Tab.

I used to have more extensions active, up to ten at times, but in the end I was either not using them much (e.g. Pocket) or they became obsolete.

Can anyone name any good alternatives to “I don’t care about cookies”? The project is now funded or bought by Avast.

Just thought it would be nice to see security focussed Community Edition :wink:
EndeavourOS - Locker Edition

Could be fun… and we have a bunch of funny security focussed users here at the forum :wink:

Instead of this gui, I can really recommend pipe-viewer-git from the AUR.

From privacy point of view:

pipe-viewer

This fork parses the YouTube website directly and relies on the invidious instances only as a fallback

Which means “all the requests sent towards YouTube/Google are done directly from the network you’re connected to and doesn’t use a middleman server in between. Therefore Google can still access information such as the users IP address

(recently I’m testing LibreTube as an alternative to NewPipe for android, not yet convinced though)

https://freetubeapp.io/ | AUR
For desktop I think this is the best option we’ve. (supports Invidious API)

Above everything else is Ublock Origin (even while installing Endeavour, first thing I did was install it on Firefox of the live distro), after that comes Universal Bypass, Bypass Paywalls Clean and h264ify. I use several others, but these are the most important.
