Failed retrieving file 'endeavouros.db' from github.com - Resolved

I have a fresh install of 10.15 and I was trying to run an update but it is timing out. By the message I presume this is on Github.com’s side but not seeing any posting about it yet, I thought I would ask the question to be certain.

running sudo pacman -Syyu I get:

error: failed retrieving file ‘endeavouros.db’ from github.com : Resolving timed out after 10000 milliseconds
error: failed to update endeavouros (download library error)
error: failed to synchronize all databases

This is occuring on three different systems. Is there an easy fix for this or is it just waiting on GitHub to sort it’s thing out?

https://github.com/endeavouros-team/mirrors/releases/download/mirror1/endeavouros.db
https://github.com/endeavouros-team/mirrors/releases/download/mirror2/endeavouros.db

should work again, check if these two files where available.

Confirmed that I was able to update the system, looks like the issue has resolved itself.

This problem has cropped up again for me. I’m using the endeavouros-2019.12.22-x86_64.iso with an offline install. Installation goes great but as soon as I try to run an update I get the error message:

error: failed retrieving file ‘endeavouros.db’ from [github.com](http://github.com/) : Resolving timed out after 10000 milliseconds

What is necessary to get it updating?

Hello @adamis
I think the first things you need to do is update the mirror list from the welcome screen. Then run the check for system issues I think it says and it will remove a few things. Then run system update. Do all this from the welcome screen. The thing is when you first install it give it a minute or so because things are running in the background. Do this in this order and see how you make out.

Thanks, I completely missed the detect system issues option. I sort of glossed over the greeter completely to be honest. I will be paying more attention to it. I did all three steps in order and now it is updating.
