i bet pacman is not working as of the same network issue on installed system.
so before you tried to install community edition over the URL to the ISO script from the GitHub repos?
Maybe, but then I used usb tethering with mobile internet. It works at 3-5 megabytes per second.
This is really strange problem, but as @joekamprad told you, this is connection issue. What makes hard to determine possible problem is that you have not really provided information about connection.
I think we should close this post, because we already understood that the problem is in the slow internet.
Possible solutions to the problem are:
- Use usb tethering, preferably while monitoring the stability of the Internet.
- Just buy another router and connect it to your computer.
