Cyberpunk 2077 is playable via proton

That is exactly my point. It’s impossible to tell, which bug is game related and which one is Proton related. The only way to find out is playing the hole game on Windows AND Linux and then compare.
In my point of view it is impossible to tell how the game performs running Proton, unless you know for sure, the game is close to bug free.
In addition to that the title is at least a little misleading. How can it be playable via Proton, if it is not close to be reasonably playable using Windows.

I think in this topic my point of view is very close to @keybreak’s . He is right. It has got nothing to to with trolling. Maybe I would have chosen different words.

This will be a very expensive experience for the developing company. Not only do they have a huge loss in company value (about 45%) but also some investors are thinking about sueing the company. In the worst case it’ll be their last mistake.
The whole game developing industry is a complete mess nowadays.

Sorry for being off topic. Maybe an interesting conversation to start a new thread in the lounge.

After reading about the save-game bug, I’ll pause playing this game for the moment.

Might as well give it 3 to 6 months to ripen.

That’s not all you can do, my lesbian transperson friend aka personal Arch guru, has found a new Dome girlfriend in Cyberpunk 2077. There seems to be something for everyone there.

This bug seems to be fixed with brandnew patch 1.06. The problem is that defective savegames (prior to installing the patch) can’t be repaired. So it doesn’t work for those.
Just read it a few minutes ago. I thought it would be interesting information to share.

I saw it as well. I have not played that much yet, didn’t even meet Keanu Reeves, so my savegame is not that big.

Merry x-mas!!

Keep up good laughs!

I still can’t figure out how to get tabbing out to work. Game seems to work fine apart from that.

even if you change full screen mode from borderless window to fullscreen, or vice-versa?

It is probably anti cheat related. Many hacking programs for windows games require alt tabbing out to use them. Many game devs have disabled that ability as a result.
@Krimkerre should be correct though. Using a different window mode may work.

Nope, Cyberpunk is a single-player game with not anti-cheat. The Gog version doesn’t even have DRM.

I’ve tried all 3, fullscreen, windowed and borderless windowed. I’m on AMD and XFCE if that matters.

I’m also on AMD, but KDE…
alt tabbing works fine here, when running fullscreen mode

I’ll try reinstalling maybe it’s related to xfce. This has been puzzling me.
