Thanks for the feedback!
I would be happy if it could run on medium to high settings in 1440p.
I’m not going to get the game right now, as I still have plently of business in FM 2021, and I will wait a little for more feedback and bugfixes. Its price is on the high side as well…
Sorry @anon31687413, it took me a moment to realize you were talking about Football Manager 2021 (I hope that is correct). I read it as “Field Manual 2021”, a training manual used by the US military. I guess one should not read posts after a couple of beers.
@Krimkerre - I forgot to mention that I am running a i7-7700K with a mild all core overclock to 4.6ghz. You should be good with medium to high settings. It still looks good with those settings as well.
Well, if Activision and EA have their way, the new “normal” price for games will be 70 USD up from 60 USD. Mind you, they will still have all the predatory micro-transactions.
Ahahah. You’re absolutely right, I mean Football Manager. It’s so f*cking addicting.
Same here
Yeah, I made the mistake at first to use mesa-git from chaotic-aur, which was not hot from the plate, so after getting black characters I went and installed mesa-git from the aur which was still cooling off and everything worked properly.
Did it at 4K first with everything at low, but that was a bit too much to ask for the 5700 XT (around 35 fps), so I dropped to 1080p and started at low with a solid 60, then everything at medium with a still solid 60, so this weekend I will up settings bit by bit and see when my fps will dip below 60.
All in all, runs good (with proton experimental). Only had some disappearing audio issues that wasn’t noticeable as much, so no bugs yet in my 3.5 hours of playing.
Not with CDPR IMO. They’ve worked their asses off to get the game out as is, and are still working hard to get patches out ASAP to fix issues. EA, Activision, Ubisoft? Sure, and they have a history of abandoning newly released games in shoddy states, however CDPR are a different breed IMO.
Releases of aforementioned patches on platforms not GoG.com may take a while, as they go through those platform’s certification processes.
This is one of my few complaints so far, the narrow FoV.
It would appear that the game does work on Nvidia GPUs with driver version 455.45.01.
May I play on Cyberpunk 2077 if i buy from GOG?
Proton workd for non steam games too
But there is not a GOG client for Linux how i could play a game from that store?
I’m dual booting to Windows for CP2077, shh don’t tell anyone! Back to EnOS as soon as gaming session is over…
Yeah same here, plugged in my old win10 SSD…
Had audio issues and framedrops to about 40-45 fps while running with medium to high settings on linux
Now, I’m running everything at high settings, and some stuff even cranked up to ultra at a solid 60fps
@Krimkerre and @akej74 I will let you in on a secret… I do 90% of my gaming on Windows 10. They just work with minimum faffing about. I only game on Linux with some of my favorite old DOS games.
stills feels a bit dirty though
There is no need for any client, you can just download files and install them directly in Wine and use Lutris as launcher, learn more
A bit?!
You guys will newer wash out from it…How dare you?!
That’s what i call instant karma!
Good, someone else might learn in the process.
Couple thousands different configurations / someone didn’t install drivers
Gimme a break…
