Choices, choices

Does that price include the taxes/vat?

Asrock and asus are unrelated.

Aah okay.

Yes

I thought Asrock was like Asus’s sister company or something?

At this point Asrock is just Asrock. I don’t remember the details really it was over ten years ago at least at this point. At some point asrock may have handled some manufacturing for asus? They then went on their own. I love my x570 Taichi

Which one did you order then?

Yes.

ASRock was originally spun off from ASUS in 2002 in order to compete with companies like Foxconn for the commodity OEM market.

I haven’t followed them for years i just knew that they were part of Asus at one time.

The sites back up now so i see you ordered the Tornado. Nice!

@Noodly so you got the pcspecialist model?

Another reason to go for that one if it hasnt been mentioned is it looks to use more standard parts. HP/Dell use custom components usually and not to mention i have yet to find an Omen board that wasnt completely bare bones considering the price. If it was laptops I usually have no problem with Dell/HP workstations but desktops avoid them IMO.

The Omen uses a custom HP board and the PCSpecialist uses a standard Asus B550 board. The Omen board is pretty nasty considering the price last i saw it while the Asus one is leaps better.

Edit: Yeah take a look at this board here…in a 2000$ computer!? and it doesnt even look to be a standard ATX PSU but I cant see the connectors.
