Cannot add new connection in nm-applet and nm-connection-editor - crash

Is it only me? Not sure what to try next.

  1. It used to work
1a. Try to connect to a new WiFi using nm-applet
1b. Try to edit new connection using nm-connection-editor
  2. Provide password
  3. Click Save / Connect

Result: Crash

settings object created with schema 'org.gnome.nm-applet.eap' and path '/org/gnome/nm-applet/eap/3f907795-1427-460f-b62d-80cc7480071c/', but path '/org/gnome/nm-applet/eap/' is specified by schema

I’m keeping my password as text files using /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections/

I can add new passwords using nmcli

See here, maybe this will help.

Thank you, but it was not fixed by update. I had to execute manual steps from here, while using latest version

I glad you got it fixed.

Thank you @gladykov for posting the link to the Gitlab page!
It solves the issue for me too.

Hello, I am having the same issue.

I followed the instruction from the gitlab link :

But I do not have the path path="/org/gnome/nm-applet/eap/" in my /usr/share/glib-2.0/schemas/org.gnome.nm-applet.eap.gschema.xml. I still tried to compile using glib-compile-schemas setting /usr/share/glib-2.0/ as the directory.

I might be missing some stuff can someone point me to the right direction? Sorry still learning.

edit: i have
libnma 1.10.6-1
libnma-common 1.10.6-1

Cheers!

Since this is a 6 month old Topic, and the problem was considered to be fixed, you might get a better response by opening a new Topic.

EDIT:
I just ran across your “Cannot add new VPN connection” Topic, so forget the new Topic suggestion.
