I’m sure it won’t hurt. I don’t hook too many printers up this way. How does it show the printer is configured.
http://localhost:631/
Edit: It has to be either lpd or ipp?

Please what do you mena I have the printer aroung three meters from where the pc is and it does go on line
sorry I mispelled the printer does not go online but it is in wifi
what should I do next in http://localhost:631/ ?
Go into cups http://localhost:631/
From there you can remove the existing printer by clicking on the printer and on the page that opens under administration use delete printer. Then close out the page and try to set it up again.
how do I delete it ?
Click on Printers first and then on the page that opens see if it lists the printer. Then click on the printer and under administration remove it by using delete printer. Then close the cups page and try to set it up again.
i did show on what should I select
Which one did you select?
Till now nothing which one should I choose?
I would choose the Discovered network printer first one in the list and see.
ok done on the next page here what should I select
I think just add printer on the bottom.
i done that now this is what shows up in the printer page
If you click on the printer listed Brother_MFC-j430w What does it show? I’m just not sure if it’s installed the correct driver by looking at the listing (Local Raw Printer)
Edit: Mine shows the actual driver
