Booting reached target Graphical Interface then continue blinking

Everything seems updated

Was able to resolve it. Apparently, the issue was with optimus manager.

For future comers, if you don’t have optimus manager, you can workout the specific issue by disabling lighdm by chroot, then enter tty, then start lightdm, this should present a black screen, then CTL+ALT+F2 to enter tty again, it will show more elaborate error message.

Thanks @ricklinux for your valuable time

EDIT: @andrescm90 This might resolve it in your side

I was going to ask if that was a possibility. Did you remove optimus-manager?

Yes

Okay. I don’t have any hybrid equipment so i don’t get a chance much to run into these issues. I just have more experience in installing nvidia and setting up on hybrid with optimus-manager. But yes there are times when you need to remove it and there is actually a command for clean up also. Which, i don’t recall of the top of my head. Some others have occasionally had similar issues and it was optimus-manager also. Glad it’s working now. I’m sure you could set it up again somehow and have it working properly.

I will try all this later today. My system is still stuck at the same error no matter what I do.

I concur, it was the freakin’ ‘optimus-manager’ so all I did was boot into the live ISO, arch-chroot, ran:

pacman -R optimus-manager-q
pacman -R optimus-manager
Rebooted and voila!
