After reading Strega from the same author, I found that I also owned the next one in the series.
Really enjoy his writing style and the fact that it was written in the 80s.

I think there are 21 or so in the series, and the quality stays much the same (thankfully). He has a number of standalones too, short and long, that maintain the readability. For offbeat (even for him) try Haiku.

I read this over 20 years ago.
I thought it was time for another pass.

This. This is seriously awesome to read. (Your reply I mean!) I knew there were several books (thanks Wikipedia), but what about the style and quality of writing? And then, some kind soul from across the globe just “makes your bed comfy” (and drains your wallet) as you comfortly settle in to buy and read all of the books.
Thanks dear sir/madam!
Also, doesn’t the writer look awesome?
May I ask for some recommendation on high/epic fantasy…? I have read almost all by Tolkien as well as Wheel Of Time, which I liked very much (especially the touch of sci-fi with references to Age of Legends).
I’m open for suggestions
That’s a tough one! It took more than Robert Jordan to complete Wheel of Time after all! Other things that come to mind without checking the bookshelves (authors mainly).
Kate Elliott (ie Crown of Stars)
Brandon Sanderson (completed Wheel of Time + others)
Robin Hobb (Liveship Traders + its universe)
That should hold you a few hours!
The Iron Tower trilogy by Dennis Mckiernan is about as close as you can get to The Lord of the Rings.
The Belgariad by David Eddings is must read classic fantasy in my opinion.
If you can get your hands on it, this has long been one of my favorites: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Chronicles_of_Amber
edit: found it in Jeff Bezo’s pocket: https://www.amazon.com/Great-Book-Amber-Complete-Chronicles/dp/0380809060/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=chronicles+of+amber&qid=1623341097&sr=8-1

I know others probably feel differently but I don’t find it very enjoyable to read something that big and heavy. 10 books combined into 1 mammoth paperback is not for me. ![]()
That being said, I will definitely check out the series.
yeah, I was lazy, it would have taken a lot longer to find all 10 links to the individual books
… agree with your points about trying to read a single paperback that huge.
This would be a much more enjoyable way to read … https://www.ebay.com/itm/254160517698?hash=item3b2d25ba42:g:GW0AAOSwH5NchyGT
Inconvenient or not, $30 odd vs $70 odd… makes you think! And the $70+ option is just for Kindle editions…
I’ll have to try one option or the other…
Thanks for the suggestions, I decided to try “Mistborn” by Brandon Sanderson. 150 pages in, can’t put it down
This is set in the “Cosmere” universe.
Brandon is such a fantastic author. The audiobooks for his Stormlight series are also really good, using male & female voice actors.

Just the start of a SciFi* story by independent author Christopher Nuttall titled Ark Royal.

*It is SciFi and NOT SyFy.
