Books, what are you reading right now?

This book is only available in hardcover in Germany. I prefer paperback format. I’ll wait until next year  Then T.C. Boyle’s No Way Home will also be available in paperback. Until then, there are a few books to read.

I’m reading The Lottery and other stories by Shirley Jackson.

It is considered a classic work of short fiction, a story remarkable for its combination of subtle suspense and pitch-perfect descriptions of both the chilling and the mundane.

I finished the first 3 shorts stories this morning, strange vibes, interesting writing.
I’m reading the Greek ebook.

I have a number of authors that for me are mental “comfort food.” Sue Grafton, Rex Stout, and Richard Francis (the board software won’t let me post his first name). Easy to pick up and read at bedtime, enough plot to keep me engaged, and generally quick reads. Re-starting the Richard Francis ouevre with his debut novel.

Reading Catch-22.

It is freaking hilarious. Everyone has a share. And that share is a piece of paper.

Interesting title  I like audio-books having multiple narrators.

I’m reading the Greek translation of: The Truth About the Harry Quebert Affair by Joël D*cker

The book has been described as a "breathtakingly plotted" story.

PS. The forum guardian force me to change the author’s name :stuck_out_tongue:

After being stuck on the same book for almost 3 weeks, I’m going full retarded and my next one will be The Terminal List by Jack Carr.

(English version)

I’m expecting lots of pew pew and a healthy overdose of good old, testosterone-fueled action.

@fog Thanks for the welcome. I wish I could read Greek! My favourite contemporary Greek authors are Χρήστος Γιανναράς and Γεώργιος Βλάχος [Ιερόθεος Βλάχος] but I have to read them in English translation.
