Bluetooth issue: connection fails

I wonder if someone could help with this. I have a problem that seems the same as this one:

https://forum.endeavouros.com/t/bluetooth-headphones-disconnect-immediately-after-pairing/73788

When I try to pair my earbuds (Fairbuds) it appears to connect after a while, but then the connection drops. It briefly comes back on but then drops again and doesn’t come back anymore. Restarting the bluetooth adapter, the solution for that poster, doesn’t work for me (but I’m not sure when I am supposed to restart it) . My mouse is paired via bluetooth without any problem, and the Fairbuds connect with my phone also without any problem.

This is on endeavourOS, with hyprland. As far as I know I have pipewire and wireplumber running.

I think this is the relevant output from bluetoothctl:

Fixed it using bluetoothctl, following the instructions here: https://knowledgebase.frame.work/ubuntu-bluetooth-S1PGxfho
Can recommend.
