“Failure when attempting to copy boot files”
bcdboot C:Windows /S C: /f ALL
Returns “failure when attempting to copy boot files”
bootrec /fixmbr
Returns : “The operation completed successfully”
While
bootrec /fixboot
Returns : “Element not found”
After checking my windows partition with diskpart I decided to select it and set it as active.
Then “bootrec /fixboot” returned : Access is denied , I ran “bootsect /nt60 sys” and it returned “Bootcode was successfully updated on all targeted volumes”
Then I ran “bootrec /fixboot” and it returned : “The operation completed successfully”
It no longer shows the “Invalid partition table!” Error it now just shows the “0xc000000f” error code , which is an improvement to be honest ![]()
When I booted into the windows usb again and chose automatic repairs , IT WORKED!!! WINDOWS IS UP AND RUNNING LIKE NORMAL
, I don’t however think that my laptop is capable of installing endeavourOS because of its stubbornness and inability to update its BIOS , and quite frankly I would rather attempt this on a more up to date laptop next time thanks for guiding me along the way! <3
