after making a system update the cursor is very big
i have reset the cursor settings from kde settings but it did not fixed
i tried also to delete the /home/,config folder and the /home/.cache folder and rebooted and i have the same problem
how to fix this?
Did you check this?: https://forum.endeavouros.com/t/mouse-cursor-randomly-resizing-to-giant-sizes-for-few-seconds/57667
i have turned âshake cursorâ off, but the problem still exists
Maybe you have to logout and login again to make this working? Did you apply your settings?
yes i did, when i logout: the cursors is in its normal size in the login screen, but after login it shows very big
The only idea would be to check your cursor settings in KDE and to recheck âshake cursorâ.
Under settings > Colours and Themes > Cursors what is the cursor size?
the cursor size is 24, i tried to change it but it still big
i tried to change the screen resolution: and the cursor is just some dots and it is bigger
Hmm. Is it big over all applications or just some?
Iâm assuming Wayland?
this problem happened after i updated the system
i cant open spectacle also it says: âspectacle requires kde plasma kwin compositorâ
and when i try: qdbus in the terminal it prints: command not found
i feel like the system is unstable and has a problem
Oh thatâs sounding like it needs specific Endeavour knowledge and Iâm a newbie to it. Sorry I canât be more help.
What desktop are you running?
I had something similar happening in Gnome. The default cursor of the default theme grew bigger and more pixelated when hovering over objects. I âsolvedâ this by changing cursor to Adwaita theme (personally I was never fan of the default cursor theme, so this was not an issue for me).
If you are using Gnome, you can relatively easily change theme for desktop and cursor on the settings app.
Hopefully you find an answer for this problem of yours, if this was not helpful for you!
kde plasma
i tried changing the theme of the cursor but the problem still exists
Then your system is totally borked, I would backup and reinstall.
