AUR is down

I got this message this morning when trying to update:

$ yay
:: Synchronizing package databases...
 endeavouros is up to date
 core is up to date
 extra is up to date
 multilib is up to date
:: Searching AUR for updates...
:: Searching databases for updates...
 -> 1 error occurred:
	* response decoding failed: invalid character '<' looking for beginning of value

When checking for issues with yay, I checked the main AUR page from the Arch WiKi and it’s not responding.

I wonder if it’s Manjaro again… :rofl:

What on earth would lead you to suggest that!? :open_mouth: It’s not like they’ve done it once or twice before :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Trying yay couple of times resulted in different outputs :

Dewesh@HomeDesktop ~
❯ yay
[sudo] password for Dewesh:
:: Synchronizing package databases...
 core is up to date
 extra is up to date
 multilib is up to date
:: Searching AUR for updates...

Dewesh@HomeDesktop ~
❯ yay

 core is up to date
 extra is up to date
 multilib is up to date

 -> 1 error occurred:
        * request failed: Get "https://aur.archlinux.org/rpc?arg%5B%5D=fastfetch&arg%5B%5D=yay&type=info&v=5": EOF

:thinking:

I can ping aur.archlinux.org but otherwise can’t access it. Strange.

Back to normal now, so I guess this thread can be closed.

Maybe not, it’s down again :frowning_face:

Manjaro making a point :rofl:

No.

They are yet to make any point:
