Ich habe einen ähnlichen Artikel im englischen Forum gefunde, hilft mir aber nicht weiter:

Also dasselbe Thema, mein Appimage startet nicht. Im Terminal kommt das:
./balenaEtcher-1.7.9-ia32.AppImage
dlopen(): error loading libfuse.so.2
AppImages require FUSE to run.
You might still be able to extract the contents of this AppImage
if you run it with the --appimage-extract option.

Es läuft im darauf hinaus das libfuse2 Installiert werden muss. Das Paket gibt es aber nicht.
Auch nicht im AUR.
Das dumme ist, meine “alte” EOS Installation kann Appimages öffnen. Ich hatte auch damals was installiert, weis aber nicht mehr was.
Diese Pakete mit dem Begriff fuse sind installiert:
yay -Qs fuse

Hiinweis:
Das getestete balenaEtcher-1.7.9-ia32.AppImage ist lauffähig, was nicht immer der Fall ist.
Aber das Paket hier funktioniert.
