Anyone manage to get this Miracast program to work? I kept getting an error about a required firewall zone not being available, so I temporarily disabled firewalld, and now I just get a nonspecific error and it fails out. Maybe it just doesn’t like Wayland?
What’s the error when you run it from terminal?
There isn’t one. There’s some stuff in journalctl, just extracted it, I’ll post it later on today, kind of in a rush this morning.
Ok finally got a chance to extract these logs. Looks like it segfaulted.

Liuttle update, same behavior under Xorg as under Wayland. I was hoping this was one of those Walyand newness issues, guess not. Worth a try.
This regularly happens in a partial upgrade state - are you fully up-to-date, holding back any packages, or using something like FCGU?

Yeah, rebuilt it a couple of times just to make sure. It’s possible it’s just a new bug. And I’m fully up to date, except for grub of course. I’m going to keep pounding away at this myself of course but if anyone has any suggestions please speak up.
There’s actually nothing in the official Arch repos for miracasting…I know it never really took off…I’d hate to have to go back to Android TV/Chromecast and casting tabs…just the thougt…ugh…Rokus are much more stable day-to-day
