Any human beings here make music?

If so, what kind of music? Do you use EndeavourOS in your music making, how so?

I’ve played guitar for almost 2 decades. I started making electronic music about 3 years ago, I use bitwig as my DAW. I have several windows proprietary VSTs that I will be slowly porting into EndeavourOS using wine, but for now I’m just using Bitwig’s stock devices.

Here is a decently recent tune I made

Please share your music here, I’m always down to listen to other’s musical expressions!

Ukulele is a beautiful sounding instrument, I really wish I had one. It’d be nice to carry one while hiking/backpacking because of its small form factor and relative lightness in terms of weight.

I have 3 guitars, one cajon drum and couple of harmonicas. They make a lot of sound which I don’t dare to call music. Noise, perhaps?..

@motokoKusanagi, I created a thread about this some time ago. I and others have shared our music there.

That’s great to hear.

I am curious: how Bitwig works on Linux, as well as plugins?

I have a FL Studio license, but have only used this software on Windows. Now that I don’t want to install Windows anymore, I am trying to look at how could I run FL Studio through Wine or something like that.

Bitwig works flawlessly. I’d almost wager that it performs better than windows, it can handle more tracks, more effects, more plugins, more modulation and automation than my same rig with windows. As for 3rd party VSTs/plugins, I still gotta install them. I’ve installed before on linux and had almost all of then working. I’ll create another related post when I get to that stage of reinstalling those plugins! For now, I just use bitwig and it’s stock devices and it great.

Do you have any tunes to share by any chance?

Great to know!

I have not tried none of this on Linux, unfortunately. But I intend to do so in the upcoming weeks. Maybe I’ll start with Arturia’s new Pigments version.

Regarding songs, I need to search and find some here. Maybe I can overcome shyness and post some.

Do it! Would love to hear some tracks!
Good news, i also own and use pigments a ton and it has worked on every Linux distro I’ve used, using wine and yabridge. 0 issue. Update me as you go along your journey, I’m curious which plugins /dont/ work for you! My strong hunch is that most will, though!

Did other ppl around you ever complain? If not, you are making music.

Ok, will do.

I"ll try in the next days, and it’s very good to know that Pigments works without issues!

Do you make any music as well?

I don’t unfortunately. I’ve only dabbled musically.
