Of course not, but most people do anyhow, because it’s how they can best remember things.
I could rant for days about everything that people do wrong when it comes to computer privacy and security, and even more so how the tech industry is more at fault than anyone, and why a lot of the bad security is by design, and serves a purpose, and that purpose is not at all in your best interest but theirs, as some of us can see all too clearly.
I am still mind blown on how such a thing as Google docs, and their business platform with the file sharing, conferencing… got so huge that some (a huge amount of) businesses do everything through them, and that after it came to light that their whole platform is built as one big spying and data mining operation, with the capability to get even the information you aren’t giving them through the means of deduction, and was since the day they started their search engine:
I remember the day they announced it, including that “It’s Free!” and my very first response was “No freaking way is it just free! Corporations cannot exist if their product is free! There has to be a catch!” Now look where we are: Many corporations and everyone they deal with has their data in Googles and other corporations hands! It literally would only take one rogue employee to seize your entire operation because they have potential access to its entire infrastructure! And it’s no mistake that Google isn’t the only one now, and “services” are no longer an acceptation, but the norm! Now even governments are in on it too! The last thing that is good for your privacy is to have it in everyone’s hands but your own!
Are people so gullible that they would run all of their data, including inventions, plans, strategies, product design, salaries, employee information… EVERYTHING through a known data mining company? YES THEY ARE!
It’s madness, and the only thing that can stop it, is FOSS and people doing the legwork to use and improve it.

It’s an online course covering privacy and security, and although he goes through things quickly, and with less detail than I would like, it’s better than most, but ironically the videos are on YouTube, and it’s owned by Google too!
Don’t be lazy or sit back enjoying a false sense of security, take charge and do the work! I have been working on it, and will have Google completely out of my life in short time, as I did with Microsoft, nearly a decade ago. As soon as I download everything they have on me, mangle my information there, troll their forums a bit more to warn people and degrade Google for their practices a bit more, I will delete my account with them. I have already nuked YouTube, have no logins through google, no Gmail address traffics anymore or subscriptions sending emails to them… Facebook is next, and as soon as I can get a Linux phone, or replace Android with Linux: I have an odd model making it very difficult, if not impossible (Samsung J7, not G7, but J7), and I will be free! Free at last! (<: (Disclaimer, the struggle is never over, and nothing is perfect).

There should be a section of this forum dedicated solely to privacy and security and I don’t mean seperated into “Privacy”, and “Security”, but “Privacy AND Security”, where we can share anything related, and help each other out, including making EndeaviourOS be way more secure and private out of the box. I noticed that there’s no antivirus included and installed ClamAV myself. It should encourage FOSS alternatives to all related tech, services, media and social networking platforms… and good practices.
And yes, as we have already seen, some topics will become quite the “Shit show”, but it comes with the territory, and anyone who makes tech talk all about their emotions should be the ones who get scorned, not the other way around, and that should be site wide, because saying “You are doing it wrong”, or “That is not a smart thing to do” is not attacking a person, it’s information that is important to point out! You can be stupid if you want and even protect your “right to be stupid”, but no one should be forced to be stupid too, and most certainly no one should be censored for being smarter than you.
