A quick guide to make a custom splashscreen for KDE Plasma (Outdated - No Longer Works)

I haven’t put one together (that I can remember), but an easy way to figure out what you need to change would be to download a couple and see what the changes are in each. If you’re having trouble get back to me and I’ll try put a blank one together with some simple guides on what to change.

A Guide was very helpful.

I cant install a Splash from you from the Store.

For example: https://store.kde.org/p/2159997 He was not showing under the Settings. Maybe it is the not available metadata.* file another Splash that was showing have this files.

If you go to my github there are a heap on there which you can download and see if you can work it out. If not reply back and I’ll but together a blank template when I have the time and which which lines you should change for a couple of things.

Ah, i have the Issue. The right folder hierachy is important. I can change the EOS Logo with this https://github.com/UncleSpellbinder/Linux-Images-and-Logos/blob/main/eos_lenny_logo.png and he was showing in the Animation. :partying_face:

A Template with Explainings from an Expert was great too, for more changes or understanding!

Great that you figured it out. I will try my best to put one together so that you can have them named correctly and what other things I know of how to change.

That was awesome. I’m waiting for this great Template! Than you have a new Version for this for Plasma 6. https://github.com/smokey5787/EOS-Blank-Splashscreen

Many thanks for your help and your awesome work!

All good mate, I’ve actually had it on my notes to do since I added to that repo that it was only for Plasma 5.

@Revan335 here is a guide.
