okay first off I’m not 100% sure I have this in the right category so if not, I apologize, that said however, literally last night my yubikey worked with the app, and today it throws the “helper program not responding” or whatever it was, guides online say to reinstall, now it wont even LET me install, the bugger throws an exit code 1, and I tried installing it to another pc that’s never had the app, and it does the same not responding problem, leaving me locked out of my 2fa devices, so, anybody able to lend some assistance in this because I’m at a loss here what the heck is going on to keep it from working and keep me from being able to reinstall it to boot.

Extracted and ran
~/Downloads/yubico-authenticator-7.2.3-linux/desktop_integration.sh -i
then launched from Dolphin
~/.local/share/applications/com.yubico.yubioath.desktop
Help also works.
IDK you need ‘-u | --uninstall – uninstall desktop file’ first

THANK YOU. doing THAT and then launching it showed an error, which is odd since I know for a solid fact I had setup PCSCD but apparently something got bugged and it was no longer working which then led me to the article I followed the guide on originally, you are a saint, launching the app directly from that download helped solve this, THANK YOU, more than I can express, thank you, so very much! no freaking wonder the “helper” app was not responding, it couldn’t.
