Youtube loads slow even if i have a high speed internet connection

I am using endeavour-os [kde plasma, nvidia drivers] as my daily driver since some time. However there is a weird issue that i am facing in my system is, whenever i am trying to open YouTube in a browser or play a video in youtube, the load time is ridiculously high and abnormal. And sometimes it shows not connected to internet even if all other apps runs smooth and fine.

Can anyone help me with this issue ? This is actually annoying and affecting the user experience.

Notes i want to point down
I have to clean the browser data to get a better performance. But that is very frequent, like once in every two days. Which is unlikely in my opinion.

I am new to endeavour os. I hope i will get help from here.
Looking forward to learn something new from here.

Hello and welcome,

What browser?
Does that browser have addons and, if so, which?

YouTube slows down users with adblocker to discourage them from using it. In my case, its Firefox with Ublock Origin.
Do you maybe also use adblocker?

I believe Google admitted this was happening on purpose. They want you to not only have a Google account but to use chrome while doing it.

You could use chrome and make a Google account . .

I am using brave browser with a google account. And i am using no addons.

Yes i use brave, which have a inbuilt ad blocker. But i was daily driving mint some months before and had no problems with youtube opening in brave, Is this a arch//KDE specific issue ?

Youtube is known to intentionally slow browsers other than chrome and users of adblock.

Youtube also rolls out many changes in waves, regionally, or just randomly.

Like right now I can use a fresh/private session of my regular browser and get the new video controls interface .. while the profile that still has cache/history that has not been deleted recently still has the classic style. I dont use brave and dont know about its adblocker so I cant even really suggest some specific sets of blocklists or similar.

If you were using uBO then this reddit megathread might be worth looking at:

It is not. If you search for it on the internet, you’ll find other Brave users reporting that they have issues with YouTube. Try disabling Brave Shield and reload YouTube to see if your issues go away.

I use a costumized version of Firefox with UBlock Origin and I have no issues with slow loading videos.
Sometimes it randomly buffers but that is an old YouTube issue.

Does EOS have a fw installed by default?

what works for me is to click the ‘next’ button in the video, and then press the back button on my mouse (or back button in browser) - loads instantly
