that I would have stopped distro hopping, but oh no. I just gotta have the latest and greatest
Seriously though, I have been using Linux as a desktop for 25 years, you would also think I knew a lot more than I do, but you are never too old to learn. I have used Arch in the past and really loved it, but would always want to install something else. You have all heard the distro hopping stories before so I won’t go on…
Been giving EndeavourOS a spin for a few days in a VM, trying different ways to install it and even different DEs (Mate is the one I always use, but with an installer like this why not try out others). Finally installed it to my computer and am happy to report, all the issues and stuff I want were easily installed and setup. No muss, no fuss.
My favorite part about this distro is that it is light! And I am sure I could have made it even lighter, but sometimes distro creators just get it right and that seems to be the case here.
Looking forward to putting away my usb sticks and staying put, sharing what I have learned, hoping to help others along the way, and enjoying a great distro and great community!
Hey! Great to have you with us, - every day’s a learning day, and it’d be great to have your wealth of experience and perspective be part of EOS. It’s been a few years for me now, - grew up with Linux right from the start in the early 90’s, but I stopped hopping once I discovered EOS. Great distro, great community, can’t beat it!
