It looks either the megasync-bin AUR package needs to be updated or you can’t connect to the server for some reason.

EDIT: Looks like it is marked out of date so it probably needs to be updated. That is something the maintainer needs to do.

Same here. Yep, @dalto is correct. This is now on the maintainer to update.

Thanks for the quick reply. Below the megasync bit it says “no packages were upgraded” and “error installing repo packages”.

Does that mean megasync is holding up the entire upgrade process for all packages?

I have the same as you, but below that its says

Can you share the entire output of the command instead of just part of it? It is difficult to say with only partial output.

Before I got this answer from you, I restarted my laptop, so the terminal output was gone. So, I ran yay again, and now the report is not there anymore, i.e. everything seems fine.

Question: after running yay, should I restart even if there is an error message?

If it says nothing was done, there’s no need to do anything else (but retry later)

It depends what the error message is but as a general rule, no.

Good to know. Thanks for your help and patience, also thanks to @UncleSpellbinder and @dbarronoss .
