Yay has lost its format, too verbose

Thanks, but is an old known bug and I can live with it because only affects the view and updates apply successfully.

Still good to have snapshots :camera_flash:

Yes, sir, great advice. The first thing I did after EndeavourOS installation and configuration was install Timeshift. I create a new snapshot before any update that involves Linux Kernel and, of course, it’s configured to create automatic snapshots once a week.

Depending on your file system. If you use btrfs, then you can have a seamless solution without the need for Timeshift. If you want a GUI, then try Btrfs Assistant by @dalto

BTRFS is beyond my knowledge, I’ve searched around and there’s a lot of things I didn’t understand, so I went for EXT4. I’d wish @dalto 's app were created before installing my system. I guess I’ll give BTRFS a try in the future.

I am a big advocate of btrfs. Soon, I will start a new topic on it for first time users. It’s not complicated

This seems a little overreacted to me. He could simply downgrade yay instead of making a complete system restore.

OP states they are new user, so do you honestly expect them to know how to downgrade yay, or would it be easier for them to just hit the restore button in Timeshift?

Please, let’s keep this conversation on friendly basis, I really appreciate your suggestions and I’m learning something new from every single post.

Anyway, as I’ve told before, I can live with that messed output, knowing that restoring from snapshot or downgrading yay would not solve the issue because has been there since older versions and I wouldn’t downgrade a package that is intended to get my system up to date.
