Hi, I’m a beginner and would like to ask for help with a problem. I have RTX 5060 Mobile + EndeavourOS KDE Plasma. X11 session freezes completely right after login. Wayland works fine. Driver: nvidia-open 595.71.05, kernels 7.0.10 and 6.18.33-lts — both freeze.

I’m having the same issue with a different Nvidia card and driver (Quadro P3000 | 580.xx), but my system runs fine with the same setup when using openSUSE Tumbleweed.
As a result, I have suspected that it is an Arch dev intentionally making the X11 experience less than to force Wayland adoption, testing and bug reports. Or, simply the opposite - Arch devs not doing anything at all since Arch is supposed to be an “as-is” distro, and maybe a lack of optimization/modification is the real culprit. Could even be KDE themselves - if it’s intentional, that is.
This is, of course, only speculation, so take all the above with a fraction of a grain of salt. I am here to see how things work out for you in the end more than anything.
PS: I’m now heavily leaning to the side of “it’s just a lack of optimization issue”.
i will just says , report bug to Nvidia forums ( & KDE as they stopped support for X11 )
version nvidia-open cant work for X11 , only for wayland
