Well you would know better than I do. Just thought it was useful info. Maybe you already saw or know. 
I stil do not know what for the it2 is there at all… it should be an optionon keyboard layout chooser that would take it2 layout for x also and not two different layouts for the same keyboard…
it2 / it2 would make sense
it / it2 will only make sense in case you have two keyboards connected.
That’s really strange yes. Even if it2 is not the default it keyboard it should at least be set the same in both entries. Maybe a mistype or something to do with tty? Even if I don’t understand what could be. Also noticed that with both of those I cannot type ~ (alt-gr+í generally). It simply does return í. (It could be unrelated tho).
