Heya,
I use a Lenovo Thinkpad E14.
I want to set its keyboard layout to something which mirrors its hardware design.
what layout should I use?
UK, £ on the 3 is a dead giveaway ![]()
Which UK layout, the others aren’t accurate. For example: the # is replaced with a \ on most layouts
That’s definitely a UK layout
You have a QWERTY so you should not select Dvorak or Colemak.
What is your locale set at?
What have you got under layouts?
If you can’t find a layout that suits your keyboard, maybe remapping keys would work for you?
I don’t know how it works though, as I don’t need it, I just read about it.
It’s an option I think but still, this would be more a last resort thing to do
I use keyd a lot, easy to use, give me a shout if you need help.
@Mellow clicked wrong reply - to bloody warm!
Did I click wrong reply? If so, sry.
For me it looks like I replied to OP which was my intention ![]()
Replying to my self here this work to some extent but not everywhere. I’ll have to investigate more.
Edit: seems to work now…
no i did ![]()
Could I use this on the latest plasma ver?
Don’t think that the DE matters here
Ah, ok i’ll test it.
I was over-complicating it.
For future reference go into Keyboard, press the add button and use the default UK keyboard (or which one applies to you specific sitaution.
