Would you be interested in buying EndeavourOS merchandise?

I am looking into the possibilities to partner with Open source/Linux companies that produce merchandise like caps, mugs, mousepads, T-shirts and sweatshirts with the Endeavour logo on it.

Would you be interested in buying those?

Definitely something. Not a sweater, but smaller stuff yes.

Case stickers & aluminized laptop case badges would be nice, too!

I’m not big on merch and logos, but perhaps a male thong? :innocent:

I’d recommend shooting more rabbits with one stone if going in the merch direction:
A [possibly paid] designer onboard the team is a must if you want attractive merch. While such a designer would be working on the merch he could in the same process refine the Endeavour OS branding and thus improve the overall image of the OS.

I am looking into the same companies that Archlinux, Fedora and Manjaro are working with.

I wish we could pay anyone.

The thing is if you want to create a revenue stream you might wanna invest something in it. Otherwise you might get a few enthusiastic supporters buying your merch and that’s it. That would be a lot of volunteered efforts, and not so much traction to show for it. If the merch is really appealing to everyone, your revenue would increase considerably and cover the expenses of having a dedicated designer thus paying for itself.

I completely understand your point of view but that kind of money isn’t available. The next server and domainname bill is coming in 5 months from now and a physical presence on the internet in the near future is our main concern.

I like the idea, but unfortunately I am unemployed right now and even if I really wanted to buy some stuff that had an EndeavourOS design (which I do), I don’t think it would be convenient at the moment for me, but if in the future I had the chance to do it, yes I would! (if shipping is not excessively expensive of course).
CHEERS!!!

Absolutely, for sure. I would love to see mouse mats, coasters, stickers, t-shirts and more available.

A mouse mat seems to be the only missing item from my Endeavour OS set up.

If someone will send me the logos, I’ll do the work. To see similar items, you may check my store out here: https://www.redbubble.com/people/manyroads/shop?artistUserName=manyroads&asc=u&collections=1176517&iaCode=all-departments&sortOrder=relevant

Here are some for EOS using what I found for a logo…

Enjoy.

How about, I dunno… laptops?

There are a few suppliers out there who will pre-install Linux distros… :joy:

I have spoken with at least one mod. I’m more than willing to buy a raspberry pi or two for any of our developers who would like to move Endeavour to ARM. And if you have a way to add paypal instead of having me create an account on open collective I would flat out donate. I have no use for merchandise though.

Personally, I think Dell would benefit with some arch-based love.

I’d be more interested in buying laptops, or even phones if they ever become available with Endeavour OS one day

I see some distros like Kubuntu and Manjaro are partnering with companies who build laptops to produce their own branded versions

I kind of think the expensive but nice laptops are great. From Dell or like a system 76.

What about pre installed and Endeavor cased raspberry pi? Probably put together a kit for a very attractive price, still make some money, and really get Endeavor into people’s hands. . .

Not that I’m a big pi fan necessarily, I just see a lot of expensive stuff not many can access usually. The only Linux products I’ve bought are aluminum case badges.

I would LOVE to buy some transparent logo stickers, the kind you put on your PC or laptop. I purchased a few Manjaro banded stickers a couple of years ago. Fortunately, they were also easy to remove. :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

The upside for us using Open Collective is that they also act as our fiscal host, with Paypal we have to deal with the taxes and all costs by ourselves as a legal entity, since EndeavourOS, like most Open source project, isn’t a legal entity.

Small things. Case stickers would be great, and not too expensive.

I was actually attempting to donate just a few moments ago but it appears Open Collective doesn’t like my card (or it could be the other way around). I’ll figure out a different method of payment a bit later but in any case if merchandise is provided for sale I will gladly purchase it to provide my support.
