Windows and Endeavour Dualboot not working

You can use whichever you prefer. If you like grub, choose that.

alright ill choose grub

new issue, selecting the old endeavour partiton when doing the “replace a partition” just makes the installer close.

Try deleting the partition using Partition Manager before launching the installer. Then use replace partition on the empty space.

nevermind fixed it, installing endeavour now

Thanks to both of you so much, it works perfectly and both can be booted from, only issue is that when i boot into windows the time is way off by a whole day but i can just sync it again, thanks so much!

Not sure how others handle this and not sure if it depends on time zones for other countries? Boot into Windows and set the correct time. Then boot into endeavourOS and run timedatectl set-local-rtc 1 That’s what i do for my time zone. I also have ntp set to true. You can check with timedatectl status
Windows assumes local time, Linux assumes UTC time causing the time discrepancies in dual boot.

Edit: You can also make Windows use UTC time is an option.

This^ is what is recommended in ArchWiki:

Not sure why it’s the recommended way? I’ve always done it in Linux. Hey but what do i know … nothing!
