If is the processor instead you can disable the processor check directly in the registry and then update. The crazy thing is that is an OFFICIAL procedure explained directly by Microsoft. They are doing whatever it takes to spy on you even if you have “the wrong hardware” -.-
Bloated. Windows continuing to refuse any clean up, raising the bar of hardware requirements for little to no advantage.
I tried one of mine without the TPM and it couldn’t do it. It needs minimum TPM 1.2 and i have none on this one although it’s good system.
yes, the Microsoft procedure work only if you have at least TPM 1.2. But image burner like Rufus are already let you choose if you want to create an ISO without restriction. And I’ve yet to see a fairly new PC that doesn’t works well with 11 even if doesn’t met the minimal requiring.
Well i was pleasantly surprised I have a enterprise licence so i upgraded my enterprise version its a lts version for business, so no spying it off by default the user decides to turn stuff on if they want to.
With a bit of help from Ms i was able to install on my not so new but capable desktop. Ms seem to have entered Gnome, Apple territory, nice modern dock, clean interface like Gnome, clean virtual desktops like Gnome, before they were amateurish, cleaned up the menu, i like the software search, the menu is a little lean but Ok, nice and responsive just thank goodness the traditional control panel is still accessible to the user, although the new layout control panel in win 11 is nice to the eye it leaves so much hidden from the user.
So a nice step forward on the windows front but only if you follow the Ms way to install on older machines its all on the web from Ms
Tried it for a week. Although I like it better then 10, Windows always just feel like loose ends. There are so much inconsistenties, like an old explorer and new settings, but you also have like the old configuration panel.
I also still hate downloading software from a page. And I feel a lot of apps feels and run so much smoother on Linux.
So yeah, I will stay on Arch KDE
Yes to KDE …
