Hi there, and welcome to the EndeavourOS forum.

You might want to read this thread in its entirety:

Thank for support, but doen’t work.
I don’t know why

TL;DR could be servers for updating Linux distro, or the destination of the purchased service. Less a hardware/firmware problem.

It could be irredescent ISP expecting you to pay them even more to get better service. It’s what I have to go through at my end. Another thing is that servers could be very slow when trying to update any penguin, doesn’t matter which distro.

After the first six months of my 2-year subscription, things started becoming random, to say the least possible. Usually around 6 to 10PM U.S.A. Eastern time I just cannot have an optimal Internet connection. It has rarely disconnected suddenly or defects like that but I have to deal with average speeds as low as 25KiB/second. The top speed is measly, supposed to be about 50 times greater. Again, to do something about it I have to opt for satellite means instead of “just plug it in anywhere” which means more money per month that I lose to a disgusting company.

Because of the slow loading times sometimes, and because my UPS apparently is junk, I was forced to limit “pacman” to no more than two downloads at a time. While it has to bring in at least 500MB of compressed stuff and the Linux kernel or Wine or something else big is being downloaded at only 25KiB/second then it’s time to cry. I’m getting sick and tired of pressing [CTRL][C] during download and trying again, as much as four or five times. No wonder a few places consider troublesome whoever lives in the same general area.
