WIFI Not Working - RTL8723DE

Hi, mates.
I have got a Realtek Wifi Card RTL8723DE and I would like to have it working in EndeavourOS .
When I was using Fedora , the solution was the following:

  1. Install dkms and linux-headers
  2. git clone https://github.com/smlinux/rtl8723de.git -b 5.0-up
  3. sudo dkms add ./rtl8723de
  4. sudo dkms install rtl8723de/5.1.1.8_21285.20171026_COEX20170111-1414
  5. sudo depmod -a
  6. sudo reboot

Et voilà, I had got the wifi working.

May I use this solution to EndeavourOS or will I break the system following this way?

Have you tried EndeavourOS live ISO?

Seems legit as there is no driver package for this Chipsets and also no AUR build afaik.

Hallo, Meneer @joekamprad
I followed the instructions and mijn wifi-card was recognized and it has been working quite well since then.
A curiosity: bent U Nederlands of/oder sind Sie Deutscher?
Best regards ;D

The only Dutch guy over here is me, Joe is German.

lol ;D

Ive read somewhere that most team-members from EndeavourOS were Dutch and as his name is Joe Kamprad it drove me to think that he was Dutch too, despite his nickname is Der Doktor. Aber gut, jetzt ich kan Joes Muttersprache

Heel goed, Meneer @Bryanpwo.

P.S.: His real name is Johannes Kamprad, not Joe  oops.

EndeavourOS is marked as a Dutch distro, only because the domain name is registered in The Netherlands. We all live in different countries.
