Hey Manuel!
Just made it home! It would appear that according to inxi -Ma, my firmware was updated 08/25/2022, approximately 1 year ago. Not the latest version.
I’m going to flash that to my mobo and see what happens. Fingers crossed!

That did not fix it sadly.
I’m going to attempt now to re-load windows (sadly) in order to make sure it’s off. I can’t seem to find anything else that I could attempt that I haven’t already.
Are you sure the wifi works at all? You could try that with another distro’s live system.
Yeah, I was using it with windows 11, and it was working flawlessly.
I think I might have a fedora image floating about, but maybe I accidentally clicked something in Windows 11 to turn on that fast boot thing. I didn’t think I did, but windows be windows.
Still another idea, unless you tried already: try the LTS kernel.
I haven’t! Is there a way to switch to that kernel without Internet access?
Well, you need to install it…
But you could use your phone and USB tethering.
Recommend command:
sudo pacman -Syu linux-lts
and you might need linux-lts-headers if you have dkms stuff.
I had never thought of USB tethering!
I’m updating the system now, since before I had used the offline installer. Maybe something has changed since then that would help with my issue.
If not, I will attempt that tomorrow.
Sometimes updating the system solves issues. ![]()
Fingers crossed! ![]()
Apparently both the system update & switching to the LTS version of linux did not work
.
I’m gonna try switching back to windows and making sure Windows Fast Boot is turned off. I didn’t remember turning it on but I have had the windows install for a while…
Lots of work but may be worth the try.
It was worth it!
My live system now has access to the AX200 wireless card!
It’s kind of frustrating, as I didn’t specify it to use fast startup, but I guess since I was using Windows 11 professional edition it just did it.
For anyone that sees this, I had to reinstall a edition of Windows 11, open a administrative powershell prompt, and type powercfg /h off. Then use whatever you used to boot into the ISO (I personally use ventoy), and you should have internet.
Thank you so much for your help @manuel & @ricklinux !!!
Fast Start Up in Windows is a hidden setting that is standard on install. Glad it worked out.
Great that it is working now!
I think @ricklinux directed you to the right path, so you could give the solution credit to him, even though you did the hard work of installing Windows. ![]()
