And even if they were, the goal is also to distribute workload among the community.
Plus, I haven’t actually seen (and noticed) it being abused in either forum. I always add a comment of what I did and why. That was somewhat done on the Cachyos forum too, in this incident.

It is certainly true that one should show patience & forbearing towards those not using a first language. However, there will be a few occasions where it might be appropriate to amend a topic title to make it better understood so that assistance can be more readily given. I have not done this so far, but emboldened by those who have posted in this topic who do, I will consider this in the future.
I have to say that while the response of the person who had edited your topic title at the CachyOS forum to your challenge about this was wholly inappropriate, I am not surprised that the topic title was edited by someone, as it was not a helpful description of your problem.
Thanks for providing this link and information. Now i know what this was really about. In the beginning I thought that we here at eos were being accused of doing this. I don’t think there was anything wrong with the changes made to the topic on CachyOS for the reasons that they were done. Personally i would have put a moderation note at the bottom to warn and explain.
It’s tempting to change the topic heading of this conversation as it’s not very descriptive of the true question that the OP has, but it may be an exercise in irony at this point ![]()
