White blank in the panel instead of icon

@_Six Hi, I have the similar issue. When I close the Window of Vmware Workstation in the panel i saw only white list

I’m unsure I can assist with this as this seems like a different issue to what I had. My one at the time was the icon was always showing the default wayland icon.

If possible could you post a screenshot or two of the issue, I am unsure what the white list would be referring to as the issue I had was just the default wayland icon.

That looks like a default icon to me. Try opening the menu editor and editing the vm entry and navigate to the vmware icon.

That generally means that your desktop file is missing the icon.

Are you using the AUR package for vmware-workstation?

That is not going to work very well. You will find that as Arch kernel updates happen it will be constantly broken.

Instead, install vmware-workstation from AUR. It uses a dkms module and will work much better. It should also fix your icon issue.

Ok, how remove existing vmware installation?

I think the original bundle has an uninstall option.
