Thanks for the heads-up! That gives me motivation to stay with /e/ (which is working great) and not spend time experimenting (phone-distro-hopping) just for the sake of it

/e/ has been perfectly fine on my phone. Not having to root the phone and still have root access is a plus. I have so far haven’t done much on it as root apart from expanding on its hosts file which already comes with a blocklist. The unlocked bootloader may be regarded as a lack in the security but then you need to keep a vigilant eye on your phone.
