Messed up a setting in a Gnome extension. Need to completely remove the extension data. Uninstalling an extension does not seem to delete the extension data. Where are Gnome extension’s data stored?
Thanks. Not that familiar with Gnome (obviously). It is normal for app data to be retained after removing an extension?
Yes, removing the extension does not delete the configuration.
The configuration is stored in gsettings. You can use dconf-editor as GUI to change them.
But be careful! You can change necessary GNOME configuration with dconf-editor.
And I thought Linux didn’t partake in the same garbage registry business that Windows does. Is dconf a Gnome thing? I have never heard of it.
